Established in 1986 and part of the Bodegas Olarra Group, is one of the most renowned wineries in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin with the added value of making wines that have a unique personality. Bodegas Ondarre is located in Viana, a historical village 8 kilometres from Logroño (La Rioja) with a rich tradition that still preserves the remains of its medieval fortress. Bodegas Ondarre uses state-of-the-art vinification technology. New French and American Oak barrels are used in the ageing process. The winery places special emphasis on continuously replacing the wood of these barrels, with the aim of achieving in its wines the accented personality that is currently providing it so much prestige. The Tempranillo Blanco grapes come from the slopes around the banks of the Ebro River. The grapes have been harvested early to maintain their aromatic characteristics intact. Half of the free run juice has been fermented in new French Oak of light toast and the other in stainless steel to create a harmonious balance.
