Winery

Established in 1986 and part of the Bodegas Olarra Group, is one of the most renowned wineries in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin with the added value of making wines that have a unique personality. Bodegas Ondarre is located in Viana, a historical village 8 kilometres from Logroño (La Rioja) with a rich tradition that still preserves the remains of its medieval fortress. The vineyard is north of the town of Viana, divided in small plots located on the slopes and ravines oriented towards the sun. Most of them are old vines, cultivated in dry land with very low productivity. It is in these areas where we select 45 Has. for the production of Señorío de Ondarre. . Due to its characteristics of age, soil, topography and cultivation techniques, the fruit obtained ripens slowly and in favorable conditions, which yields wines with great deepness, especially fruity aromas and good structure It is age for 24 months in Bordeaux style barrels of American and French oak with four racking. Once bottled, it remains in our wine rack until its optimal moment of consumption.
