Italo Cescon Pinot Grigio
Tasting Notes:
Straw yellow color. Intense, lingering nutmeg and vanilla fragrances, peach and ripe tomato and acacia blossom notes. The taste is dry and crisp, ripe, aromatic fruit, with hints of orange zest, mirroring the nose. A wine of exceptionally full flavor, lengthy and elegant. Enjoy with shellfish and with seafood dishes.

Pinot Grigio

The area of Doc Piave, in which we cultivate our 80 ha of vineyards with red and white grapes for still wines, covers a vast plain of Veneto that is confined to the south by the Adriatic Sea, to the north-west by the gentle hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, is crossed by the river Piave and to north-east borders with Friuli Venezia Giulia region. This region is characterized by the ancient vocation for the wine growing as is testified by the discovering of several archaeological finds, moreover the first Oenological School of Italy was founded there in 1876. Recently, the need for more rational cultivation has induced the producers to renew their vineyards, changing profoundly the production with conversion of the vineyards to specialized culture.

Vinification process:
Light pressing with 60% free run-must. Fermentation with cultured yeasts over 12 days at a maximum temperature of 14C (57F).

Aging process:
Sur lie in stainless steel tanks for 5 months, bottle 3 months

Main aromas and flavors:
Nutmeg, vanilla, peach, ripe tomato and orange zest.

Alcohol Contents:
12.5 vol
