Soft and silky, with finely toned oak and spice aromas, clove and pepper, that will evolve and integrate with time. Nice ensemble.

100% Sangiovese Grosso, known as Brunello in Montalcino

The soil composition is mixed marl with excellent drainage. Has an average altitude of 250 meters above sea level. The density of vines per hectare is 5.000. Bilateral “cordone” growth system. During the harvest selected grapes are picked by hand and placed in small crates with holes for ventilation. They are unloaded directly into the de-stemmer and fall gently into the vats thanks to the cellar, exploiting the force of gravity.

Vinification process:
Intense extraction in contact with the marcs with frequent pump-overs during the initial fermentation. Great attention is paid to temperature control and the temperature never exceeds 33°C (92°F) and is allowed to descend gradually before the separation of the wine and the marcs.

Aging process:
Aging in wood is 24 moths in 600 litres tonneaux (French troncais and allier oak). Bottle aging is a minimum of 6 months in a special air-conditioned area of the cellar.
